What is an affiliate program? How does it work?
An affiliate program is a revenue sharing program where the affiliate (that's you!) drives traffic to a merchant's web site (that's us!) in exchange for referral commissions. When a visitor to your site clicks on the affiliate link to our site and completes a purchase, you get a commission on every item they buy!
We provide our affiliates with tracking, reporting, prompt monthly payments.
Once you sign up for our program, you'll be able to join in on our affiliate promotions and have access to our affiliate area. Here you can log in at any time to build new banners and links, find out about commissions earned and even learn about how many impressions each of your links has received

How do I get started?

affiliate account and start building product and banner links to place on your site pages.

Who can participate?
Just about anybody! Whether you run a large commercial web site, a small personal
blog, a non-profit site, or anything in between you're welcome to apply to join the
program. We also welcome owners of opt-in e-mail newsletters. All applications are
automatic. We do reserve the right to discontinue an affiliate account, especially
if the site or e-mail list contains objectionable material, participates in
unsolicited e-mailing, is a "parasite" or if it violates our Publisher Service Agreement.

Does it cost anything to participate?
No! As long as you are an active affiliate, all you need to do is keep linking and collect your commissions.

How are sales tracked from my site?
When a web surfer clicks through your AFFILIATE link, a cookie is set in their browser
that contains your AFFILIATE username. Also, their IP address is tracked in the database
along with your AFFILIATE name. When this person decides to buy a product, the script will
look for this cookie and/or try to match their IP address to identify the AFFILIATE who
will be awarded the commission. Visitors sent through your AFFILIATE link may make a purchase
later in time and the commission will still be awarded if the cookie is present in their browser
and/or the are using the same IP address as the one logged in the database.

How much will I earn? How and when do I get paid?
Eligible payments - all AFFILIATE monies due for orders generated as a result of AFFILIATE links/Web Site
will be held for 30 days after the Shipping Date of an order. Orders are typically
shipped 1-7 days after a order is placed. This allows us ample time to compensate for
returns, exchanges or canceled orders. Payments will be calculated and checks sent out to
AFFILIATE during the last week of any given month according to the terms and conditions
of this document.
AFFILIATE Payments - payment to AFFILIATE will not be rendered for amounts less than
$25.00 USD unless requested by AFFILIATE. Example: if you have a total of $50.00 in sales
you would have $5.00 in your affiliate account, thus your account will carry over into the
next months cycle. When your account total reaches $25.00 or more you will be sent a check
provided all orders associated meet the conditions set forth in (a) above.
Store Credit (Doggie Dollars) can be issued upon request in lieu of payment by check to
AFFILIATE.

What is a parasite? What is your policy regarding parasites?
The term "parasite" refers to technology (including browser plug ins, helpers, toolbars,
popups, etc.) that intercepts and changes an affiliate's link. This technology is also known
as "unsolicited commercial software" and is often found in Adware and Spyware software.
Parasite activity essentially
"hijacks" the affiliates link and the affiliate commission gets redirected to the
parasite, instead of the affiliate who rightfully earned it. This type of software is normally
installed unknowingly, often without the end user's consent. For an excellent description

We are committed to preventing any parasites from becoming part of our program.
If we determine that any of our affiliates are parasites, they will immediately be inactivated

Visit your Affiliate Summary page at String Baby. From here you can Edit
your affiliate account, View Newsletters, read affiliate news, get banner/product/text
links, build links, check clickthrough/sales/payment reports.
Once your application is approved, you will receive an e-mail welcoming you into our
affiliate program. If you're ready to start

How do I create links?
You may use graphic and text links both on your Web Site and in emails. The site
may also be advertised "offline" in classified ads, magazines, and newpapers. You
may use the graphics and text provided to you by us, or you may create
your own as long as they are approved by us first. Once you are signed into your
affiliate account, you can go to your affiliate summary page and select links from there.
You can also view our products and build your own links from our product information pages.

To link to a specific product, you can go to your affiliate summary page or you can go to a
product info page in our store catalog. You can then "Build-A-Link".
